Port Hawkesbury, NS:— Paul Landry has been named the Regional Executive Director of Education for the Strait Regional Centre for Education, effective Monday, April 1, 2019.
Mr. Landry is no stranger to Nova Scotia’s education community. He is a career educator with extensive experience in the public school system and has held the senior management positions of Director of Operations (Acting) and Director of Programs and Student Services.
Prior to this, Mr. Landry worked at the regional level as the Coordinator of Strategic Planning and the Coordinator of School Improvement and Special Projects. He has taught at the elementary, middle school and high school levels in both British Columbia and Nova Scotia and served as principal at the elementary, high school and primary to twelve levels.
His leadership skills and commitment to student achievement and success is reflected in his student-centred approach and focus on meeting the needs of all students. Mr. Landry holds a Master of Education Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from St. Francis Xavier University.

I look forward to continuing the excellent work underway in our region that is completely focused on student learning, achievement and success,” said Mr. Landry.
The appointment follows a national search coordinated by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.
Cathy Montreuil, Deputy Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development, announced the staff change to the SRCE school community earlier today.
