Classes to Resume at SRCE Schools Tomorrow, Wednesday, September 11, 2019; Dalbrae Academy and Bayview Education Centre School Buildings Closed; Felix  Marchand Education Centre Still Being Monitored; Limited Cafeteria Service

September 10/19 (Updated as of 7:00 p.m.)

The majority of SRCE schools have power and are ready to welcome students and staff back tomorrow, Wednesday, September 11, 2019.

The following two school buildings will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, September 11, 2019, due to no water and support staff are not required to report to work:

  • Bayview Education Centre
  • Dalbrae Academy

Whycocomagh Education Centre now has water and will also resume classes tomorrow.  However, the school will be provided with bottled water for drinking and cooking purposes.

Felix Marchand Education Centre is still experiencing a power outage. The SRCE will continue to monitor Felix Marchand Education Centre and will issue a cancellation notice if classes are cancelled tomorrow morning at approximately 6:30 a.m.

Limited Cafeteria Service

  • Fanning Education Centre/Canso Academy
  • Richmond Education Centre/Academy
  • SAERC
  • St. Andrew Junior School
  • Tamarac Education Centre
  • Whycocomagh Education Centre
