Message to Students and Families Regarding Access to Schools During the Week of June 8, 2020

May 19, 2020

Dear Students and Families:

Since the announcement that formal at-home learning will end on Friday, June 5, 2020, we know there is considerable interest in retrieving student belongings from schools.

Beginning the week of May 25, 2020, your principal will be reaching out to give specific appointment times to come to the school. Access will start the week of June 8, 2020, to coincide with the end of formal at-home learning. We know many students have school items to return to the school. This date will allow you to return items following the learning period at the same time as picking up your belongings.

We are now working closely with our schools to develop plans to ensure we can maintain Public Health protocols during this time, such as physical distancing and limiting numbers. School access will be limited to a single student or family member and will be by appointment only.

You will receive more information from your school principal on the specific plans at your child’s school the week of May 25 to 29, 2020. We appreciate your patience as we work to finalize our plans.

Please take care and stay safe.

Sincerely,

Paul Landry
