RED Message to SRCE Families: Mask Requirement Remains in Public Schools

Good Afternoon SRCE Families:

Today, Wednesday, April 13, 2022, Becky Druhan, Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development, announced that the mask requirement in public schools will remain in effect until at least the May long weekend.  The decision will be reassessed prior to May 20, 2022.

Students, staff, visitors, volunteers and outside service providers must continue to wear a mask during school instructional hours and on school buses.

Students, visitors and staff are asked to please continue to follow core public health measures including:

  • getting vaccinated if eligible;
  • staying home if feeling unwell;
  • following the COVID-19 Daily Checklist; and
  • washing and sanitizing hands frequently.
