Classes to Resume at SRCE Schools Tomorrow, Wednesday, September 11, 2019; Dalbrae Academy and Bayview Education Centre School Buildings Closed; Felix  Marchand Education Centre Still Being Monitored; Limited Cafeteria Service

The majority of SRCE schools have power and are ready to welcome students and staff back tomorrow, Wednesday, September 11, 2019.

The following two school buildings will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, September 11, 2019, due to no water and support staff are not required to report to work:

For your information, classes are cancelled at all SRCE schools for tomorrow, Tuesday, September 10, 2019, based on the recommendation of the Emergency Management Office to assist with continued clean-up efforts after Hurricane Dorian.

All support staff are required to report to work at their regular time.

As there continues to be sporadic cell and internet service in our region, please share this communication as broadly as possible.

 

SRCE System Improvement Plan 2019-2020

The Strait Regional Centre for Education Programs and Student Services team worked alongside school principals and vice principals, as well as teachers from across the region, who represented all grades, subject/specialty areas and years of experience, to collaboratively develop a System Improvement Plan for the 2019-2020 school year.

It is an exciting time in the Strait Region as we begin another school year. Dear Families of Children Registered in Pre-primary Programs in the SRCE:

As you may be aware, today, the province announced that over the next two years, eligible pre-primary children will receive busing. The addition of busing will give families, especially those in rural communities, more opportunity to access pre-primary.
