On behalf of the Strait Regional School Board, we would like to congratulate students in the Strait Region on their successes achieved in classrooms, in gymnasiums, at sports events, on the stage, as well as at regional, provincial, national and international events.

Tamarac Education Centre Students Earn 1st Place Provincial Prize in 3Rs Eco-Art Challenge

Congratulations to Tamarac Education Centre students Nolan MacNeil (Grade 4 Immersion) and Chiara Zovatto (Grade 5 Immersion) who earned the first place provincial prize in the 3Rs Eco-Art Challenge.  As part of Waste Reduction Week 2016, elementary school students across Canada were challenged to design a creative poster that promotes the 3Rs - reduce, reuse, recycle.

SRSB Celebrates Speech and Hearing Month

May is Speech and Hearing Month.  Each year, Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC) dedicates the month of May to raising public awareness about communication disorders and the professionals who can help.  Speech-Language Pathologists are highly-trained professionals who are focused on the prevention, identification and management of communication disorders.  Many of us take our ability to communicate for granted.  Yet the ability to speak, hear and be heard is much more vital to our everyday lives than most of us realize.
